Adjusting A/C Drive Belt

NOTE:
Letters in parenthesis refer to letters in figures.
- Remove the engine cover.
- Loosen idle pulley lock nut (A). See Fig 1 .
- Adjust the drive belt deflection or tension by turning adjusting bolt (B) to the specification. See BELT DEFLECTION SPECIFICATIONS or BELT TENSION SPECIFICATION table. See Figure .
- Tighten idle pulley lock nut (A) to the specified torque. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Crank the engine and measure the deflection and tension again. If not within the specification, repeat from step 2 again. Install the engine cover.
