Disassembly & Reassembly

- Disassemble in the order indicated in the illustration. See Fig 1.NOTE: When disassembling the piston rotate the piston counter-clockwise slowly using the Caliper Piston Socket (49-F043-002) and remove the piston completely out of the caliper body. Rotate piston in the opposite direction of the arrow in the illustration. See Figure.
- Assemble in the reverse order of disassembly. Tighten all fasteners to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Bleed air from system. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM .NOTE: On dust seal, during piston assembly, assemble the dust seal to the piston. Assemble the lip of the dust seal to the groove of the caliper body with the dust seal is assembled to the piston as shown in the illustration. See Fig 2. Rotate the piston clockwise slowly using the caliper piston socket and push in the piston completely until the piston grooves are in the position as shown in the illustration. See Figure. Verify that the dust seal is installed into the groove of the piston securely.
