Component Replacement Activating Procedure (Seats Installed)

  1. Remove air bag simulators from right and left pretensioner harness connectors and reconnect connectors. Install pretensioner electrical connectors on mounting brackets. On models equipped with side air bags, remove air bag simulators from right and left-side air bag module harness connectors and reconnect connectors.
  2. On all models, remove air bag simulator from passenger-side air bag module harness connector and reconnect connectors. Remove air bag simulator from clockspring harness connector and reconnect connectors. Install steering wheel access cover.
  3. Connect negative battery cable. With all air bags installed and connected, prove out system. See PROVE OUT SYSTEM  under DIAGNOSTICS. Reprogram pre-set radio frequencies and set clock.
