Timing Belt Removal/Installation: Notes

Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Remove the crankshaft position sensor.
Remove the P/S oil pump with the pipe still connected.
Remove the spark plugs.
Remove in the order indicated in the table.
Install in the reverse order of removal.
Verify the air gap. (See CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR .)
Specification:

0.5-1.5mm (0.020-0.059 in)
Start the engine and
1. Inspect the pulleys and drive belt for runout and contact.
2. Verify the ignition timing. See IGNITION TIMING INSPECTION .
