Engine Disassembly/Assembly

  1. Disconnect the engine and transaxle. See MANUAL TRANSAXLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION . (See AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .
  2. Remove the intake-air system.
  3. Remove the exhaust system.
  4. Remove the oil filter. (See OIL FILTER REPLACEMENT .)
  5. Remove the ignition coil.
  6. Remove the generator.
  7. Disassemble in the order indicated in Fig 1e.
  8. Assemble in the reverse order of disassembly.
