Cylinder Head Cover Installation Note

Verify that the grooves on the cylinder head cover are free of oil, water and other foreign material.
Install a new cylinder head cover gasket into the cylinder head cover.
Apply silicone sealant as shown.
Thickness

1.5-2.5 mm {0.060-0.098 in}

Install the cylinder head cover and tighten the bolts gradually in two or three steps in the order shown.
Retighten cylinder head cover bolts RH No. 5 and 6, LH No. 6 and 7.
