DTC 05: Door Lock-Link Switch On/Off Signal

- Turn driver-side door lock knob to LOCK position. If LCD indication is ON, go to next step. If LCD indication is OFF, remove instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Using a DVOM, measure voltage between instrument cluster connector No. 3, terminal 3F and ground. See Figure . If voltage is zero volts, replace instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If voltage is present, check door lock-link switch, and wiring harness. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Repair or replace as necessary. Retest system.
- Turn driver-side door lock knob to UNLOCK position. If LCD indication is ON, measure voltage between instrument cluster connector No. 3, terminal 3F and ground. See Figure . If battery voltage is present, replace instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If battery voltage is not present, check door lock-link switch, and wiring harness. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Repair or replace as necessary. Retest system. If LCD indication is OFF, input signal to instrument cluster is okay.
