Preliminary Inspection

  1. Verify customer's complaint by operating system in question. Visually inspect components. Check, repair, or replace the following components as necessary:
    • Damaged engine oil pump and oil filter
    • Damaged coolant thermostat
    • Low engine coolant or engine oil
    • Stuck coolant temperature gauge needle
    • Stuck oil pressure gauge needle
    • Tripped inertia switch
    • Blown fuse(s)
    • Damaged instrument cluster or bulbs
    • Damaged wiring harness or loose or corroded connections
  2. Verify charging system, cooling system, fuel system, safety belt warning chime, turn signals, headlights and anti-theft control system are working properly. Inspect wiring harness for bad connections or damage.
