Test No. 1: All Meters & Gauges Are Inoperative

- Check METER (10-amp) fuse. If METER fuse is okay, go to next step. If METER fuse is blown, repair wiring and replace fuse. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
- Check ROOM (15-amp) fuse. If ROOM fuse is okay, go to next step. If ROOM fuse is blown, repair wiring and replace fuse.
- Remove instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Measure voltage between ground and instrument cluster harness connector No. 2 terminal 2K. See Fig 1 . If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, repair wiring between ROOM (15-amp) fuse and instrument cluster.
- Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between ground and instrument cluster harness connector No. 3, terminal 3N. If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, repair wiring between METER (10-amp) fuse and instrument cluster.
- Turn ignition off. Check for continuity between ground and instrument cluster harness connector No. 2, terminal 2B. If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, repair wiring between ground and instrument cluster.NOTE: The remaining steps in this trouble shooting procedure test at cluster connectors, NOT harness connectors.
- Disconnect printed circuit connector. Check for continuity between instrument cluster connector No. 2, terminal 2K and instrument cluster connector No. 4 terminal 4B. See Fig 2 . If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, replace printed circuit. See PRINTED CIRCUIT under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
- Check for continuity between instrument cluster connector No. 3, terminal 3N and instrument cluster connector No. 4, terminal 4A. See Fig 1 and Fig 2 . If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, replace printed circuit. See PRINTED CIRCUIT under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
- Check for continuity between instrument cluster connector No. 2 terminal 2B and instrument cluster connector No. 4, terminal 4H. See Fig 1 and Fig 2 . If continuity exists, replace instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If continuity does not exist, replace printed circuit. See PRINTED CIRCUIT under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
