GF4A-EL Transmission

  1. Place transmission in Neutral. Disconnect selector cable from Transmission Range (TR) switch. Disconnect TR switch connector.
  2. Loosen TR switch mounting bolts. Using DVOM, measure resistance between TR switch terminals "A" and "H" while adjusting switch. See Figure . Adjustment is complete when there is continuity between terminals.
  3. Tighten TR switch mounting bolts to 70-96 INCH lbs. (8-11 N.m). Connect shift cable and TR switch connector. Verify proper operation by cycling transmission through all gears.
