Fuel Pump Relay

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1997 Mazda Millenia. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Remove fuel pump relay. See FUEL PUMP RELAY LOCATIONS table. Using ohmmeter, check for continuity between relay terminals "C" and "D". See Fig 1 . Continuity should not exist. Apply battery voltage to terminal "A" and ground terminal "B". Again, check for continuity between relay terminals "C" and "D". Continuity should exist with battery voltage applied. If continuity is not as specified, replace fuel pump relay.
