Detection Condition

- DTC P0703 indicates PCM did not receive a BPP input.
- P1572 indicates PCM did not see proper sequence of brake pedal input from both the BPP and BPA when brake pedal was pressed and released.
- DTC P1703 indicates BPP signal was high (KOEO) or BPP signal did not cycle high and low (KOER).
BPP switch is used by PCM to disengage transaxle Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) and an input to the idle cruise control for idle quality. BPP is hard wired to PCM and supplies B+ when vehicle brake pedal is applied.
