Detection Condition

DTC P0453 indicates self-test has detected an fuel tank pressure circuit input more than the maximum allowable calibrated parameter. Fuel Tank Pressure (FTP) sensor is used to measure fuel tank pressure during EVAP monitor test and to control excessive fuel tank pressure by forcing system to purge.
