Removal & Installation (Mazda6 3.0L)

Disconnect the negative battery cable.
On left side, remove the plug hole plate. See TIMING CHAIN under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION in appropriate ENGINE - MECHANICAL article. On right side, remove dynamic chamber. See INTAKE AIR SYSTEM under AIR INDUCTION SYSTEMS.
Disconnect ignition coil harness connector. See Fig 1.
Remove ignition coil. See Fig 1.
To install, reverse removal procedure. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
