Disconnect (Spring Lock Coupling)

WARNING:
DO NOT smoke or carry an open flame of any type when working on or near any fuel-related component. Highly flammable mixtures are always present and can be ignited, resulting in possible personal injury. Fuel in the fuel system remains under high pressure even when the engine is not running. Before repairing or disconnecting any of the fuel lines or fuel system components, the fuel system pressure must be relieved to prevent accidental spraying of fuel, causing personal injury or a fire hazard.
- Relieve the fuel pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE .
- Remove the fuel tube clip. See Fig 1.
- Install the appropriate Disconnect Tool SST 49-UN01-0510 or 49-UN01-0520 (310-D005) or equivalent. See Fig 2.
- Close and push Disconnect Tool (49-UN01 0510) or (49-UN01 0520) (310-D005) or equivalent into the open side of the cage. See Fig 3.
- Separate the fitting. See Fig 4.
- Remove disconnect tool. See Fig 5.
