Removal & Installation (Mazda6 2.3L)

WARNING: When the engine is hot, it can cause severe burns. Turn off the engine and wait until it is cool before removing the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor.

Drain the engine coolant.
Disconnect the ECT sensor harness connector. See Figure.
Remove ECT sensor. See Fig 1.
To install, reverse removal procedure. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
