Removal (B2300)

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle.
  3. Disconnect the Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor harness connector. See Fig 1.
  4. Remove the plug for the crankshaft timing peg. See Fig 2.
  5. Install the Special Tool (303-507) and turn the crankshaft pulley bolt to position the number one cylinder at top dead center. See Fig 3.
  6. Install the M6 bolt (1F2012-428). See Fig 4.
  7. Remove the CKP sensor. See Fig 5.
