Removal & Installation (Tribute 2.0L)

CAUTION:
Do not work on the aluminum engine components until the engine is cold or damage may occur.
NOTE:
Numbers in parenthesis refer to numbers in the illustration.
- Remove the catalytic converter.
- Lower the vehicle.
- Remove the dipstick and the dipstick tube bracket bolt. See Fig 1.
- Remove the 6 bolts and 3 nuts and remove the exhaust manifold. See Fig 2.
- Disconnect the Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor harness connector (1). See Fig 3.
- Remove the bolt (2). See Fig 3.
- Remove the CKP sensor (3). See Fig 3.
- To install, reverse removal procedure. See Fig 4. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
