Removal (Tribute 3.0L)

NOTE:
Numbers in parenthesis refer to numbers in illustrations.
- Remove air cleaner outlet tube. See AIR CLEANER OUTLET PIPE .
- Remove the 3 nuts and the engine appearance cover. See Figure.
- Disconnect the throttle cable (1). See Fig 1.
- Disconnect the cruise control cable, if equipped (2). See Fig 1.
- Remove the throttle cable bracket bolts (3). See Fig 1.
- Disconnect the Throttle Position (TP) sensor and Idle Air Control (IAC) harness connectors. See Fig 2.
- Disconnect the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve vacuum hose and EGR tube nut. See Fig 3.
- Disconnect the EGR vacuum regulator valve harness connector and vacuum hose. See Fig 4.
- Disconnect the chassis vacuum hose (1). See Fig 5.
- Disconnect the engine vacuum hose (2). See Fig 5.
- Disconnect the Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) hose (3). See Fig 5.
- Disconnect the Vapor Management Valve (VMV) vacuum hose. See Fig 6.
- Disconnect the 2 harness connectors attached to the left side of the upper intake manifold. See Fig 7.
- Disconnect the Power Steering Pressure (PSP) sensor harness connector. See Fig 8.
- Position the transaxle vent hose aside.
- Remove the nut from the wire harness. See Fig 9.
- Remove the 8 bolts and the upper intake manifold. See Fig 10.
