Removal (B3000)

- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Disconnect the breather tube, loosen the clamp and position the air outlet tube aside. See Figure.
- Remove the bolt and the splash shield. See Figure.
- Disconnect the accelerator cable, speed control cable and return spring. See Figure.
- Disconnect the Throttle Position (TP) sensor harness connector. See Figure.
- Disconnect the Idle Air Control (IAC) valve harness connector. See Fig 1.
- Disconnect the 2 vacuum lines. See Fig 2.
- Remove nut and put dipstick aside. See Fig 3.
- Remove the nut and the upper intake manifold support brace. See Fig 4.
- Loosen the bolt and position the 42-pin wiring harness aside. See Fig 5.
- Remove the 42-pin harness connector from the bracket and position aside. See Fig 6.
- Disconnect the brake booster vacuum hose. See Fig 7.
- Remove the Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) valve from the valve cover. See Fig 8.
- Remove bolts and upper intake manifold. See Fig 9.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure. Clean the gasket sealing surfaces. Tighten the upper intake manifold bolts in sequence. See Fig 10. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
