Installation (Tribute 3.0L)

NOTE: Numbers in parenthesis refer to numbers in illustrations.
  1. Inspect the gaskets and replace if damaged.
  2. Clean sealing surfaces.
  3. Position the gaskets on the upper intake manifold.
  4. Position the upper intake manifold and tighten bolts in sequence. See Fig 1. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  5. Connect the PSP sensor harness connector. See Figure.
  6. Install the transaxle vent tube and bracket. See Fig 2. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  7. Position the wire harness and install the nut. See Fig 3. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  8. Install the 2 harness connectors on the left side of the intake manifold. See Figure.
  9. Install the VMV vacuum hose. See Fig 4.
  10. Connect the chassis vacuum hose (1). See Figure.
  11. Connect the engine vacuum hose (2). See Figure.
  12. Connect the PCV hose. See Figure.
  13. Connect the EGR vacuum regulator vacuum hose and harness connector. See Figure.
  14. Install the EGR valve vacuum hose and EGR tube nut. See Fig 5. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  15. Connect the TP sensor and IAC harness connectors. See Figure.
  16. Install the throttle cable bracket bolts (1). See Figure. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  17. Connect the accelerator cable (2). See Figure.
  18. Connect cruise control cable, if equipped (3). See Figure.
  19. Install air cleaner outlet tube. See AIR CLEANER OUTLET PIPE .
