Removal & Installation (B4000)

WARNING: DO NOT smoke or carry an open flame of any type when working on or near any fuel-related components. Highly flammable mixtures are always present and may be ignited. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury.
CAUTION: Throttle body bore and plate area have a special coating and must not be cleaned, or possible damage to the throttle body may occur.
  1. Remove the air cleaner outlet tube. See AIR CLEANER OUTLET PIPE .
  2. Disconnect the Throttle Position (TP) sensor harness connector. See Fig 1.
  3. Disconnect the accelerator cable and the cruise control cable (if equipped). See Fig 2.
  4. Remove the throttle body. See Fig 3.
    NOTE: Discard the gasket.
  5. To install, reverse removal procedure. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
