Removal & Installation (MPV)

WARNING:
When the engine and intake-air system are hot, they can cause severe burns. Turn off the engine and wait until they are cool before removing the intake-air system.
WARNING:
Fuel vapor is hazardous. It can easily ignite, causing serious injury and damage. Always keep sparks and flames away from fuel.
WARNING:
Fuel line spills and leakage are dangerous. Fuel can ignite and cause serious injuries or death and damage. Fuel can also irritate skin and eyes.
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove in the order indicated in the illustration. See Fig 1. Remove the fuse box, battery, and battery tray before removing the fresh-air duct. Remove the front mudguard (LH) before removing the resonance chamber. Disconnect the fuel injector connector and fuel hoses before removing the fuel distributor. See FUEL RAILS & INJECTORS under FUEL SYSTEMS.
- To install, reverse removal procedure. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Tighten the intake manifold bolts in the order indicated in the illustration. See Figure. Tighten the dynamic chamber bolts in the order indicated in the illustration. See Fig 2.
