Detection Condition

PCM monitors Knock Sensor (KS) input signal when engine is running. If input voltage is excessively high, PCM determines KS circuit is malfunctioning, DTC is set. This is a continuous monitor. MIL is illuminated if PCM detects malfunction during first drive cycle.
