Variable Valve Timing (MAZDA6 & MIATA)

The Variable Valve Timing (VVT) system continuously varies the open/close timing of the intake valves under all driving conditions, city or highway, low or high speed. System consists of a VVT actuator and an Oil Control Valve (OCV). See Fig 1-Fig 3 . The OCV operates in conjunction with the PCM that monitors engine RPM, Mass Airflow (MAF) and Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensors.
