Air Bag Module And Pre-TENSIONER Seat Belt Deployment Authorization Procedures

- After installing a new SAS control module, verify that the air bag system warning light flashes continuously approximately 6 seconds
after the ignition switch is turned to ON position.
- If a diagnostic trouble code is indicated, perform the appropriate AIR BAG SYSTEM ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC. (See FOREWORD .)
- Turn the ignition switch to LOCK position then back to ON position while the air bag system warning light is flashing continuously.
- If the procedures have been performed correctly, the air bag system warning light illuminates, then goes off after approximately 6 seconds.
- If it does not go off, perform the deployment authorization procedure again.
