P Position Switch Inspection

Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Remove the rear console.
Remove the screws and lift up the indicator panel.
Disconnect the P position switch connector.

Inspect for continuity between the terminals A and B.

If not as specified, replace the P position switch.

P	Depressed	No
R, N, D, 2, 1	-	No

Connect the P position switch connector.

Adjust the indicator panel. Install the screws in the order shown in the figure.
Tightening torque

1.5-2.4 N.m {16-24 kgf.cm, 14-21 in.lbf}

Install the rear console.
Connect the negative battery cable.
