Diagnostic Procedure

ENGINE STALLS WHEN DRIVING AT SLOW SPEEDS OR STOPPING DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

STEP	INSPECTION		ACTION
1	Go to symptom troubleshooting No. 9 "ABNORMAL SHIFT ". (See DTC TABLE [BP, BP WITH TC] ) Is engine control system okay?	Yes	Go to symptom troubleshooting No. 23 "ENGINE STALLS WHEN SHIFTED TO D, 2,1 RANGES, AND/OR IN R POSITION ".
1		No	Repair or replace any defective parts according to inspection results.
2	Verify test results. If okay, return to diagnostic index to service any additional symptoms. If malfunction remains, inspect related Service Bulletins and/or On-line Repair Information and perform repair or diagnosis. If vehicle is repaired, troubleshooting completed. If vehicle is not repaired or additional diagnostic information is not available, replace TCM.
