Section 519 (Symptom Troubleshooting [Automatic Transmission]): Foreword

- When the customer reports a vehicle malfunction, check the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) indication, O/D OFF indicator light flash, and diagnostic trouble code (DTC), then diagnose the malfunction according to following flowchart.
- If a DTC exists, diagnose the applicable DTC inspection. (See DTC TABLE . )
- If no DTC exists, MIL does not illuminate, and O/D OFF indicator light flash, diagnose the applicable symptom troubleshooting. (See AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SYMPTOM TROUBLESHOOTING . )
