Diagnostic Procedure

SECURITY LIGHT DISPLAY IS NOT NORMAL DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

STEP	INSPECTION		ACTION
1	Turn the ignition switch to the ON position. Do other warning lights in the instrument cluster illuminate normally?	Yes	Go to the next step.
1		No	Inspect the instrument cluster. (See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER INSPECTION .)
2	Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Disconnect the instrument cluster connector (24-pin). Connect the negative battery cable. Does the security light illuminate?	Yes	Replace the instrument cluster. (See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
2		No	Go to the next step.
3	Disconnect the negative battery cable. Ground instrument cluster terminal 2F using a jumper wire. Connect the negative battery cable. Does the security light illuminate?	Yes	Go to the next step.
3		No	Replace the instrument cluster. (See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
4	Disconnect the negative battery cable. Disconnect the instrument cluster connector. Connect the keyless control module connector. Connect the negative battery cable. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position. Does the security light illuminate?	Yes	Replace the keyless control module. (See KEYLESS CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
4		No	Repair the wiring harness.
