Section 461 (On-Board Diagnostic [Automatic Transmission)): Foreword

- When the customer reports a vehicle malfunction, check the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL), AT warning light illuminating, and TCM memory for diagnostic trouble code (DTC), then diagnose the malfunction according to the following flowchart.
- If a DTC exists, diagnose the applicable DTC. (See DTC TABLE .)
- If no DTC exists, the MIL and AT warning lights do not illuminate. Diagnose the applicable symptom troubleshooting. (See SYMPTOM TROUBLESHOOTING ITEM TABLE .)
