Removal & Installation: CLOCKSPRING: Removal

Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING SYSTEM under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM. Remove driver-side air bag module. See DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE . Remove steering wheel nut. Using appropriate puller, remove steering wheel. Remove steering column covers and disconnect lower clockspring connector. See Figure. Remove 3 clockspring screws. Remove clockspring.
