Air Bag Simulator (Driver & Passenger Air Bags)
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Mazda B4000, 2002 Mazda B3000, and 2002 Mazda B2300. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
An Air Bag Simulator (418-F088/105-R0012) or equivalent is required to perform diagnosis and testing of the air bag system. See Fig 1 . Air bag simulator is a 2-ohm resistor, with appropriate connector, used to simulate an air bag module. DO NOT short-circuit air bag module connections with a zero-ohm jumper wire. If zero-ohm jumper is used, a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) will be set.
