Removal & Installation: CLOCKSPRING: Removal

- Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Set front wheels in straight-ahead position. Disable air bag system. See DISABLING SYSTEM under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM.
- Remove driver-side air bag module. See DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION . Remove steering wheel nut. Using a puller, remove steering wheel. Remove steering column covers. Remove clockspring screws. Remove clockspring and combination switch as an assembly. Disassemble combination switch as shown. See Figure.
