Engine Disassembly/Assembly

  1. Remove the engine from the transmission. (See TRANSMISSION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .) (See AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  2. Remove the following parts:
    1. The clutch unit (MT) (See CLUTCH UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    2. The drive plate (AT) (See DRIVE PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    3. The intake-air system (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    4. The exhaust system (See EXHAUST SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    5. The primary fuel injector and wiring harness (See FUEL INJECTOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Remove in the order indicated in the table.
  4. Install in the reverse order of removal.
