Diagnostic procedure

O/D OFF INDICATOR LIGHT DOES NOT ILLUMINATE WHEN O/D OFF SWITCH IS TURNED ON - DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

- Are other indicator lights illuminated with ignition switch on?

Yes |
Go to the next step. |
| No |
Inspect meter fuse. |
| 2 |
- Measure voltage at TCM terminal 21.
- Is terminal voltage okay?

Yes |
Go to the next step. |
| No |

| 3 |
- Remove O/D OFF indicator light.
- Is O/D OFF indicator light bulb burned out?
|
Yes |
Replace O/D OFF indicator light. |
| No |
Inspect for open circuit or disconnected connector in following harness.
- Ignition switch and O/D OFF indicator light
- O/D OFF indicator light and TCM terminal E including instrument cluster circuit board

- Verify test results.
- If okay, return to DIAGNOSTIC INDEX to service any additional symptoms.
- If malfunction remains, inspect related Service Bulletins and/or On-line Repair Information and perform repair or diagnosis.
- If vehicle is repaired, troubleshooting completed.
- If vehicle is not repaired or additional diagnostic information not available, replace TCM.
