Using screwdriver

Remove any rust or grime on the contact face of the drum brake.
Install the brake drum and align the marks made before removal.
After installation the brake drum, adjust the brake shoe clearance as described below.
1. Insert a screwdriver into the adjustment hole and turn the adjuster in the direction of the arrow until the brake drum locks.

2. Insert two screwdrivers into the adjustment hole, and use one of them to disconnect the adjusting lever from the adjuster (arrow A and B).
3. Use the other screwdriver to turn the adjuster 8 to 10 notches in the direction of the arrow (C).
4. Verify that the brakes do not drag when turning the brake drum by hand.
