Using auto adjuster

  1. When installing the brake drum, adjust the brake shoe clearance as described below.
    1. Turn the adjuster on the adjust strut so that the length (L) is 2 mm-3 mm {0.079 in-0.11 in}. 
    2. Remove any rust or grime on the contact face of the drum brake.
    3. Install the brake drum and align the marks made before removal.
    4. Depress the brake pedal thirty times to operate the auto adjuster.
