Oil Cooler Hoses & Pipes: Removal

- Disconnect the negative battery cable. Drain the engine coolant into a container. See BLEEDING COOLING SYSTEM in 2.5L V6 article in ENGINES. Drain the ATF into a container. See DRAINING & REFILLING under LUBRICATION. Remove the battery, battery tray, and battery tray bracket. See Fig 1 .
- Remove the air cleaner assembly. See Fig 2 . Remove the radiator grille. Remove the front bumper. See FRONT BUMPER . Remove the splash shield. Remove the inner fender mud guard.
- Remove oil cooler hose clamps (1). Remove oil cooler hoses (2). Remove oil cooler pipes (3). Remove radiator (4). Remove oil cooler (5). See Fig 3 and Fig 4 .
