Low Maximum Speed & Poor Acceleration

Possible cause: clutch slipped or burned, line pressure low, incorrect throttle position signal, faulty VSS, faulty input/turbine speed sensor, faulty sensor ground, faulty shift solenoids "A", "B" or "C", faulty body ground, faulty control valve body, transaxle fixed in 4th gear (operation of fail-safe function), short or open circuit in wiring, poor electrical connection, output and input system fault, insufficient starting torque (suspected when in-gear condition, shift control and engine circuit are normal), faulty torque converter (poor operation, sticking), faulty TFT sensor (short or open circuit).
