Abnormal Shifting

Possible cause: fault in signal circuit which controls shifting (TP sensor signal, input/turbine speed sensor, VSS), control valve is stuck, or clutch circuit is stuck. Clutch slipping or burned, line pressure low, incorrect TP sensor signal, faulty VSS, faulty input/turbine speed sensor, faulty sensor ground, faulty shift solenoid "A", "B" or "C", faulty TCC solenoid valve, faulty body ground, misadjustment of accelerator cable, faulty control valve body, fault or misadjustment of TR switch.
