Oil Filter Replacement

Remove the oil filter using the filter wrench.
Use a clean rag to wipe off the mounting surface on the oil cooler.
Apply clean engine oil to the O-ring of new oil filter.
Install the oil filter until the O-ring contacts the sealing surface of the oil cooler.
Tighten the filter 3/4 turns using the filter wrench.

CAUTION:
- In case you spill engine oil on the protector under the filter, wipe it off cleanly. If you fail to wipe the spilled oil, it will produce a white fume because of the heat.
Start the engine and inspect for oil leakage.
Inspect the oil level.
- Add oil if necessary. (See ENGINE OIL LEVEL INSPECTION .)
