Test Procedure

  1. Record and then clear DTCs retrieved during RETRIEVING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (QUICK TEST)  procedure. Warm engine to normal operating temperature. Ensure transmission fluid level is correct. Place gearshift lever in "OD" position.
  2. Accelerate from stop to 50 MPH. Hold speed for at least 15 seconds. While maintaining speed with transaxle in 4th gear, lightly depress brake pedal and release. Maintain speed for additional 5 seconds. Bring vehicle to a stop for at least 20 seconds. Repeat steps 1)  and 2)  at least 5 times. Perform RETRIEVING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (QUICK TEST)  and record continuous memory codes.
