PCM Reset
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Mazda 626 and 2001 Mazda 626. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
After a PCM reset procedure, the following conditions are met:
- All DTC cleared from PCM memory.
- All freeze frame data cleared from PCM memory.
- OBD-II system monitor status is reset.
- DTC P1000 set in PCM memory.
To perform PCM reset using scan tool, ensure connectors are properly connected. Follow scan tool manufacturer's operating instructions. All DTCs should now be cleared from PCM memory. If problem has not been corrected or fault is still present, hard DTC will immediately reset in PCM memory.
