Valve Body Assembly: Notes

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 9 other vehicles, including the 2005 Mazda 6, 2005 Mazda 3, 2004 Mazda 6, 2004 Mazda 3, and 2003 Mazda Protege5. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
CAUTION: All valve body components must be installed in original location. Position all components in sequence during removal for reassembly reference and to avoid confusing the similar parts.
CAUTION: Denting or scratching these components will reduce the ability of the transaxle to shift properly. When handling these components or the valve body that contains them, be careful not to drop or hit them.
NOTE: If a valve does not slide out under its own weight, place valve body open-side down and tap on valve body lightly with a plastic hammer.
