DTC P0730 [AW6A-EL] DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

STEP	INSPECTION		ACTION
1	VERIFY FREEZE FRAME DATA HAS BEEN RECORDED Has the FREEZE FRAME DATA been recorded?	Yes	Go to the next step.
1		No	Record the FREEZE FRAME DATA on the repair order, then go to the next step.
2	VERIFY RELATED REPAIR INFORMATION AVAILABILITY Verify related Service Bulletins and or/on-line repair information availability. Is any related repair information available?	Yes	Perform repair or diagnosis according to the available repair information. If the vehicle is not repaired, go to the next step.
2		No	Go to the next step.
3	INSPECT ATF CONDITION Inspect the ATF condition. (See AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID (ATF) INSPECTION .) Is it normal?	Yes	Go to the next step.
3		No	Replace the transaxle, then go to Step 8.
4	INSPECT ATF LEVEL Start the engine. Warm up the ATX. Is the ATF level within the specification? (See AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID (ATF) INSPECTION .)	Yes	Go to the next step.
4		No	Add ATF to the specified level, then go to Step 8.
5	INSPECT LINE PRESSURE Start the engine. Measure the line pressures. (See LINE PRESSURE TEST .) Specification D, M range Idle: 350-410 kPa {3.6-4.1 kgf/cm ² , 51-59 psi} Stall: 1,375-1,465 kPa {14.1-14.9 kgf/cm ² , 200-212 psi} R position Idle: 380-670 kPa {6.0-6.8 kgf/cm ² , 85-97 psi} Stall: 1,870-2,090 kPa {19.1-21.3 kgf/cm ² , 272-303 psi} Are the line pressures within the specifications?	Yes	Go to the next step.
5		No	All ranges: Replace the oil pump, then go to Step 8. Any ranges: Replace the control valve body, then go to Step 8. (See CONTROL VALVE BODY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
6	INSPECT STALL SPEED Measure the stall speed in D range. (See STALL TEST .) Specification 2,480 rpm Is the stall speed within the specification?	Yes	Go to the next step.
6		No	Replace the automatic transaxle, then go to Step 8. (See AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
7	INSPECT VSS Inspect the VSS. (See VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR (VSS) INSPECTION .) Is it normal?	Yes	Go to the next step.
7		No	Inspect the coupler component. If the coupler component is normal, replace the automatic transaxle, then go to the next step. (See AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
8	VERIFY TROUBLESHOOTING OF DTC P0730 COMPLETED Make sure to reconnect all the disconnected connectors. Clear the DTC from the memory using the WDS or equivalent. Drive the vehicle under the following conditions at least 12 times for more than 1 s: ATF temperature (TFT PID): 20 °C {68 °F} or more Drive in the D range, 6GR Accelerator opening angle (THOP PID): 10% or more Is same DTC present?	Yes	Replace the TCM, then go to the next step. (See TCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
8		No	Go to the next step.
9	VERIFY AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE Perform the "After Repair Procedure". (See AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE .) Are any DTCs present?	Yes	Go to the applicable DTC inspection. (See DTC TABLE .)
9		No	Troubleshooting completed.
