DTC P0441 [AJ] DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

STEP	INSPECTION		ACTION
1	VERIFY FREEZE FRAME DATA AND DIAGNOSTIC MONITORING TEST RESULTS HAVE BEEN RECORDED Have FREEZE FRAME DATA and DIAGNOSTIC MONITORING TEST RESULTS (EVAP related) been recorded?	Yes	Go to the next step.
1		No	Record FREEZE FRAME DATA and DIAGNOSTIC MONITORING TEST RESULTS on repair order, then go to the next step.
2	VERIFY RELATED REPAIR INFORMATION AVAILABILITY Check for related Service Bulletins and/or online repair information availability. Is any related repair information available?	Yes	Perform repair or diagnosis according to the available repair information. If the vehicle is not repaired, go to the next step.
2		No	Go to the next step.
3	VERIFY RELATED PENDING CODE OR STORED DTCs Turn ignition switch to OFF then ON (Engine off). Verify related pending code or stored DTCs. Is DTC P0443 present?	Yes	Go to appropriate DTC inspection. (See DTC TABLE .)
3		No	Go to the next step.
4	DETERMINE IF LEAK CONCERN OR BLOCKAGE CONCERN Perform EVAP system leak inspection. (See EVAPORATIVE EMISSION (EVAP) SYSTEM LEAK INSPECTION .) Is system test result failed?	Yes	Go to Step 6.
4		No	Go to the next step.
5	INSPECT PURGE SOLENOID VALVE Inspect purge solenoid valve. (See PURGE SOLENOID VALVE INSPECTION .) Is there any malfunction?	Yes	Replace purge solenoid valve, then go to Step 11.
5		No	Inspect following parts for clogging. Vacuum hoses between intake manifold and charcoal canister Charcoal canister Repair or replace part, then go to Step 11.
6	LOCATE LEAK POINT Check the following for leakage using ultrasonic leak detector: Charcoal canister Fuel filler cap EVAP hoses and pipes Fuel tank Is leakage found?	Yes	Repair leakage or replace part, then go to Step 10.
6		No	Go to the next step.
7	INSPECT EVAP SYSTEM LEAK DETECTION PUMP Connect all disconnected connectors and hoses. Place clamp on EVAP system leak detection pump hose between EVAP system leak detection pump and air filter. Perform EVAP system leak inspection. (See EVAPORATIVE EMISSION (EVAP) SYSTEM LEAK INSPECTION .) Does it fail test?	Yes	Go to Step 9.
7		No	Go to the next step.
8	CONFIRM EVAP SYSTEM LEAK DETECTION PUMP LEAKAGE Remove clamp. Perform EVAP system leak inspection. (See EVAPORATIVE EMISSION (EVAP) SYSTEM LEAK INSPECTION .) Does it fail test?	Yes	Replace EVAP system leak detection pump, then go to Step 10. (See EVAPORATIVE EMISSION (EVAP) CONTROL SYSTEM COMPONENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
8		No	Go to the next step.
9	INSPECT FUEL PUMP UNIT INSTALLATION Remove fuel tank. (See FUEL TANK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .) Visually inspect for damage, insufficient sealing or poorly installed pump unit. Is it normal?	Yes	Go to the next step.
9		No	Repair or replace fuel tank or sealing, then go to the next step.
10	PERFORM LEAK INSPECTION Connect all disconnected connectors and hoses. Perform EVAP system leak inspection. (See EVAPORATIVE EMISSION (EVAP) SYSTEM LEAK INSPECTION .) Does it fail test?	Yes	Leakage still exists. Locate leak point and repair. Then go to the next step.
10		No	Go to the next step
11	VERIFY TROUBLESHOOTING OF DTC P0441 COMPLETED Start the engine and let it idle. Clear DTC using the WDS or equivalent. Turn ignition switch OFF. Perform DRIVE MODE 6. (See OBD-II DRIVE MODE .) Is PENDING CODE same as DTC present?	Yes	Replace PCM, then go to the next step. (See PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
11		No	Go to the next step.
12	VERIFY AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE Perform "AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE". (See AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE .) Are any DTCs present?	Yes	Go to the applicable DTC inspection. (See DTC TABLE .)
12		No	Troubleshooting completed.
