Rear Brake Shoes
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Mazda 626. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE:
Rear brakes are self-adjusting and require manual adjustment only if brake shoes have been replaced.
Remove brake drum. See REAR BRAKE DRUM under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Using Brake Adjustment Gauge (206-0002), measure inside diameter of brake drum. Position gauge on brake shoes and linings, and adjust accordingly. Install brake drum.
