Vehicle Preparation

  1. Attach WDS or equivalent and access the ECT, FLI, and IAT PIDs.
    • Verify the IAT PID is between 4-38°C (40-100°F).
    • Verify the FLI PID is between 50% and 75%.
  2. Warm the vehicle until the ECT PID reaches a minimum of 77°C (170°F).
  3. Without returning to key OFF, clear all DTCs using WDS or equivalent generic OBD II function. DTC P1000 will remain.
  4. Access the On-Board System Readiness Menu on the WDS or equivalent to view the status of the OBD II monitors.
  5. Proceed with the selected monitor repair verification drive cycle. Once started, the engine must not be turned off.
