Removal and Installation

  1. Remove the front door trim panel. refer to FRONT DOOR TRIM PANEL .
  2. Position the water shield aside.

    CAUTION:
    • The front door molding retainer clips must be collapsed from inside the door, failure to do so may result in damage to the vehicle.
    NOTE:
    • The front door molding retainer clips are one-time use only. New clips must be used during installation.
  3. Collapse the door molding retaining clips.

    NOTE:
    • Use a wedge type tool to add tension to assist in removal of door molding.
  4. Remove the front door molding.
    NOTE:
    • New door molding will snap into position when installed.
  5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
